Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe operator in Wabash County, Illinois. You will be based on a production line. What we are looking for: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Good attention to detail and steady hands On the job you will handle: • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
