Horticulturist — Clay County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Clay County, Alabama. The job is in a public park. Day to day you will lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed. Requirements: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
