Site safety steward — Boone County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site safety steward in Boone County, Kentucky. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces 4+ years on the tools preferred.
