Immediate opening: shakeout operator (Minnesota)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Watonwan County, Minnesota. The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
