Join our team: stitching operator (Scotland)

Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Aberdeen City, Scotland. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Day to day you will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £13 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
