Die-casting operator — Knox County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Knox County, Kentucky. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits.
