Vacancy available: single needle operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Devon, England. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 1+ years on the tools preferred.
