Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in North East Lincolnshire, England. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Your main tasks: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
