Die-casting operator wanted in Rio Arriba County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
