Elevator service technician — Breathitt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Breathitt County, Kentucky. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways The role involves carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
