On a typical shift you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
