Mechanical press operator — Haines Borough

Join our team: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Haines Borough, Alaska. On a typical shift you will set up and change stamping dies and tooling; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; record output and downtime on the production sheet; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts. What we are looking for: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
