Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Red River County, Texas. Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
