Restoration bricklayer wanted in Chowan County

Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Chowan County, North Carolina. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. On a typical shift you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
