You should have: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Current Driver CPC qualification card Your main tasks: • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
