Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Grant County, Oregon. The role involves: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
