Argon welding operator • Jackson County, Arkansas

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Jackson County, Arkansas. Day to day you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
