Argon welder — Wayne County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Wayne County, Michigan. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. On the job you will handle: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
