Core maker wanted in Cumberland County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Cumberland County, North Carolina. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
