Immediate opening: lathe programmer-operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Derbyshire, England. You will work on the CNC turning shop floor. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg The role involves: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. £135 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
