Industrial sewing operator — Boone County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Boone County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance We offer $3,500 per project plus benefits.
