Urgent requirement: we are hiring a motor grader operator in Washington County, Indiana. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
