Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work The role involves: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
