Now hiring: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in Jefferson County, Iowa. The job is in a CNC machine shop. You should have: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety The role involves load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line.
