Fusing press operator — Juneau City and Borough

Join our team: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Juneau City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
