Furnace operator • Dundy County, Nebraska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Dundy County, Nebraska. The job is on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
