Foundry worker — Shelby County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Shelby County, Tennessee. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
