Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Pike County, Ohio. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment The role involves: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
