Sand plant operator — Maiduguri

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Maiduguri, Borno State. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 6+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
