Concrete placer — Cook County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Cook County, Minnesota. You should have: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day-to-day duties: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
