Argon arc welder — Dodge County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Dodge County, Wisconsin. Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
