Immediate opening: rebar worker (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar worker in City of Norfolk, Virginia. Day to day you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
