Press machine operator wanted in Smyth County

Now hiring: we are hiring a press machine operator in Smyth County, Virginia. Requirements: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses The role involves: • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges 1+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $180 per day plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
