Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Watonwan County, Minnesota. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
