Now hiring: we are hiring a VMC operator in Dallas County, Alabama. You will work at a fabrication and machining plant. The role involves select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter.
