Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Wolfe County, Kentucky. The job is on a bridge and flyover project. Day to day you will fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints. You should have: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
