Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Warren County, Illinois. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $9,750 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
