Immediate opening: core maker (Wyoming)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Washakie County, Wyoming. You will work on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
