Construction helper — Saint Bernard Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a construction helper in Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a high-rise construction site. On a typical shift you will load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker. You should have: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Physically fit and comfortable working at height 2+ years on the tools preferred.
