Pipe tig welder — Gunnison County

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Gunnison County, Colorado. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. On the job you will handle: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 1+ years on the tools preferred.
