Immediate opening: hoist operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hoist operator in District of Rutland, England. The job is on a bridge and infrastructure project. Day to day you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
