Core maker — Hancock County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Hancock County, Maine. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
