Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Castro County, Texas. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. On a typical shift you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
