Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Geary County, Kansas. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
