Bar bender and fixer — Pulaski County

Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Pulaski County, Virginia. The job is at a high-rise construction project. Day to day you will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder. You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
