Join our team: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Yakurr, Cross River State. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
