Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
