Rebar worker — Fremont County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rebar worker in Fremont County, Iowa. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Six days a week, one day off. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
