Ironing operator — Giles County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an ironing operator in Giles County, Virginia. The job is in a busy laundry. The role involves operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; give each garment a final press before packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Performance bonus on top of base pay.
