Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in North Yorkshire, England. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Part-time with flexible hours.
